4130 chrome moly tubing (chromium-molybdenum alloy) began its first use in the aircraft industry. Chassis builders of all kinds began using the tubing for its strength to weight ratio. | ||

4130 chrome-moly plate is used for bracketry, gussets, and other plate type products that require maximum strength. It is much more difficult to find than carbon steel plate, but many sizes are available through OTGP. |

DOM is seamless mild steel tubing. In chassis building, in order to acheive a similar strength as chrome moly, one must increase the wall thickness substantially. | ||
| CREW Tubing | |||

CREW, or cold rolled electric welded tubing, is used mostly for header and exhaust work. We use CREW because of the clean finish on the inside and outside, rather than HREW (hot rolled electric welded). All the CREW we order has a .010 flash control. | ||

Carbon Steel Box Tubing is used to fabricate frame rails for street and race cars where a full tube chassis is not needed. We currently build back-half and front-half kits with 2x3 .120 Wall for the majority of our pro-street customers. We also can bend 2x3 .120 Wall. | ||
