MANDREL TUBE AND PIPE BENDING
Mandrel tube bending uses four to five piece tooling sets to completely support the tube 360 degrees on the outside as well as the inside. The bending form and pressure die support the tube on the outside, and the mandrel supports the tube from the inside. When bending thinner materials on tighter radi, a wiper die is also used to support the outside of the tube directly behind the tangent point.
